TEOG Certification Form

To receive an initial award through the TEOG program, a student must:

• Be registered with Selective Service at https://sss.gov
• Have unmet need as defined by the annual TEOG updates from the Coordinating Board
• Be classified by the institution as a Texas Resident;
• Have not been convicted of a felony or a crime involving a controlled substance;
• Be enrolled at least half-time and awarded in the first 45 hours (or its equivalent) of an associate’s degree or certificate program (excluding credits for dual enrollment or by examination).

To continue receiving a TEOG award, an eligible student must:

• Meet all initial award requirements
• Meet yearly academic program requirements. Check with Financial Aid Office for details.
